Vecino Energy hires two industry vets to leadership team

The San Antonio-based Vecino Energy Partners LLC made two hires to oversee the financial aspects and analytical efforts for the company.

Brian Jinks has been named chief financial officer and James Moreton is the new vice president of corporate finance and business development.

“Brian’s extensive experience, reputation and relationships fit nicely with our core strengths. James will immediately add value to the team given his in-depth financial and technical experience,” Vecino President David Ash said in a news release.

The company said Jinks has two decades of experience in finance and handling mergers and acquisitions. He advised on the origination and execution of over $275 billion in strategic transactions, merchant investments, M&A and capital raises in the upstream, midstream, and oilfield services, according to the news release. Most recently Jinks was the managing director at Moelis & Company.

Moreton has more than 10 years of experience in the energy finance field. Vecino said he advised on over $3 billion of M&A transactions and over $22 billion of restructuring and capital markets transactions in the upstream, midstream and oilfield services segments. Moreton comes to Vecino from an SCF Partners portfolio company where he served as the chief financial officer.

Vecino Energy develops midstream infrastructure to support the domestic oil and gas industry.
